Global Digital Forum

On June 5-6, Nizhny Novgorod will host the Global Digital Forum (GDF) - the key event of the year on the topic of interaction between Russia and friendly countries in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).

The event will become a platform for professional discussion of global aspects of ICT development, new initiatives and proposals, creation of favorable conditions for business dialogue and signing agreements on mutually beneficial cooperation in the digital sphere. The forum program includes about 60 sessions, educational tracks, interactive events, which will be attended by more than 160 authoritative foreign and Russian speakers. More than 100 bilateral and multilateral agreements and memorandums will also be signed. Representatives of government agencies, business, academic community, international and regional organizations from 116 countries will take part in the GTF. A high-level segment on digital development is planned. The forum will gather more than 2 thousand guests; about ten thousand more are expected to join online.

The central themes of the GTF include bridging the digital divide, capacity building in the Global South, cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, exchange of experience in information security and human capacity building. In addition, the agenda includes discussions on cooperation in education, media and digital literacy, and recognizing inaccurate information. A separate priority is international information security in the context of achieving the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the implementation of the decisions of the World Summit on the Information Society process.

The Forum participants will also be able to familiarize themselves with the exhibition exposition dedicated to advanced high-tech solutions. More than 170 Russian and foreign companies will present their developments on the site.

The Forum will be held at a high political level with the participation of more than 30 ministers and deputy ministers of digital development from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Persian Gulf and Europe. The Forum is also receiving a wide response from international organizations, primarily the UN.
