Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received the UAE Minister of State Sultan Al Jaber
On June 16, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates Sultan bin Ahmad Al Jaber, who is in Moscow on a short working visit.
The ministers discussed current aspects of the further development of the multifaceted Russian-UAE interaction and confirmed the mutual spirit commitment of Moscow and Abu Dhabi to build up the entire range of their bilateral ties, including mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and energy areas.
The officials also exchanged views on developments in the Middle East and North Africa. In the context of a sharp aggravation of relations between Qatar and a number of other states in the region, Mr Lavrov stressed that Russia was consistently in favour of overcoming existing differences through dialogue and due consideration of well-known concerns and legitimate national interests, including in the context of consolidating efforts in the fight against terrorism.
On the same day, Sultan bin Ahmad Al Jaber met at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov.
